if you do not have the means to pay for it yourself then gov. agencies help with that(medicare and medicaid). also RAm takes place every year in our area and if you think there might be somethin wrong go check yourself out.

That is rediculous. Everyone isn't dealt an easy hand in life. Some people have to deal with what they have been given.
But that is the problem. Something does need to be done, because alot of people that do deserve it can't have it. Hungry children come first, gas to get to work, or whatever it might be.
Sure some people will abuse it, but would you rather that happen or good people suffer instead?
And to the person who said that about the ambulance. That is true, but isn't so much what I'm talking about. Sure the ambulance is going to come. It's the little illnesses that go unoticed and uncared for that could develop into something life threatening.

I am not talking about that pal. I am talking about ppl diagnosed with things like cancers, heart conditions etc. Yes they will come and get you and take you to the hospital. Once you get out which you stay in there for quit some time, maybe had a bypass...you owe them hundreds of thousands and still have a heart problem that will need follow ups, medications etc which cost thousands more. Now you have to pay these off because if you are uninsured(nearly 50 mil are) then you are [censored], if you are insured..insurance will only cover so much and you are left with an overwhelming amount of debt..so you pick, my meds or food or a house payment this month. Maybe if you wouldnt be so dense about it, you might have thought about that part

You have no earthly idea how much medication, treatments, hospital stays etc costs these days. If you have insurance then you dont apply for those gov programs like medicare...and medicare doesnt pay everything and isnt this god send...Bush is wasting too much in Iraq and programs like that suffer which is BS

While we were worrying about Iraq and making Afghanistan 1/8 as important, the Taliban and Al Qaeda were busy rebuilding. They are now at nearly the same strength they were on 9/11.
